Our vineyards in North Central Washington lie on lands near the banks of the Columbia River. Located in the newly designated Ancient Lakes AVA. Growing season in the AVA is long. Daytime temperatures are very warm, but evening breezes temper the daytime highs and cool the fruit. Most of that cool air is the direct result of the location of the Cascade Range and the cooling temperatures that sweep down from the upper elevations to cross the eastern foothills. Our growing season provides a perfect climate for ripening our red grapes. We grow Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Syrah grapes.
Nearby, but several hundred feet higher in elevation, we grow our white varietals. Our Chardonnay from our "homestead vineyard", has received many awards and is featured in both our "Naked" Chardonnay and our "Reserve" barrel fermented Chardonnay.
Vineyards are under the direct supervision of Ryan Flanagan, the "Ryan" in Ryan Patrick Vineyards. Ryan came to the family venture after having worked at a number of positions at Chateau St. Michele. Ryan has worked for and with the leaders in the industry and is a former member of the board of the Washington Association of Wine Grape Growers.
