Our Story

Located in South Seattle, in beautiful and scenic Tukwila, WA, on the banks of the Duwamish River, we constantly run back and forth to Eastern Washington to either hang out with the growers, comfort the grapes, or gently pick them and nurture them at the winery. Once in possession, there is an old cliché which we like to stand by: “You can make bad wine with good grapes, but you can’t make good wine with bad grapes.” We make sure the vineyards are top-notch, then try not to mess it up.

Travis Scarborough, a Napa Valley (St. Helena), native came up to Washington where he could live out his dream of making wine for himself. Growing up in the Napa Valley he worked for Pine Ridge, Chateau Montelena, & Viader Winery & Vineyards. Tired of helping to craft the great wines, he was able to start with a mere 300 cases while working two other jobs. In 2007 he finally had his own facility and in 2009 was finally able to quit the other jobs and focus his attention on Scarborough Winery (once named O'Shea Scarborough). Since then, production has leveled off at 1500 or so. This allows Travis to personally know each barrel.

If you like overripe, over-oaked, extremely tannic & alcoholic wines, this is not your place. Conversely, if you like concentrated, but never overripe, and only using about 50-60% new oak, finesse, balance & yet age-worthy, then this is your winery. Hope to see you soon.
