- Description:
- The Gems were one of the best Northwest rock bands in the early 1960’s. In 1962, The Gems began performing as an opening act for many nationally known musicians. Some of the musicians they traveled with included: The Ventures, Jan and Dean, Johnny Burnette, Johnny Tillitson, Bobby Bare, and Jerry Lee Lewis. The band members were all Walla Walla natives. Now after more than fifty years all five original band members have reunited and are playing music again.
