Our Story

Airfield Estates Winery has a rich history that can be traced back to the WWII era when our family property served as a training base for military pilots. After the war, we converted the old airbase into our farm headquarters. Today, this site still serves as the center of our vineyard operations.

Our family has been growing wine grapes in the Yakima Valley since 1968. Until recently, we were solely grape growers – selling our entire production of grapes to other wineries. In 2005, we expanded into winemaking and began producing 100% estate wines that showcase the quality of our vineyards.

Our winery, located in Prosser, resembles a vintage airplane hanger with faux hanger doors that open up to the patio and waterfall area. A 45-foot tower is attached to the winery and serves as the VIP tasting room/ wine library. While you are sampling our wide range of wine, you can browse the old WWII pictures, listen to vintage big band music, and have a glimpse back in time to the 1940s.

We offer wine tasting on a daily basis. Winery tours can also be coordinated upon advanced notice.
