Eugenio Jardim, Wine Consultant, Sommelier and Educator, San Francisco
A native of Brazil, Eugenio moved to San Francisco in 1988 where he worked at several top restaurants in the city, and soon fell into wine. In 1995, he co-created one of the most cutting-edge wine programs in the country when Eos Restaurant and Wine Bar opened. And from 2001-2013, he held the Wine Director position at Jardinière, one of San Francisco’s most iconic restaurants. In 2010, Eugenio was named ‘Sommelier of the Year’ from Sunset Magazine. He’s taught classes through the University of Berkeley, Culinary Institute of America, and has helped establish many critically acclaimed restaurant wine programs. He’s been the US Ambassador for the Wines of Portugal since 2015 and is the acting Director of Wine Studies at the San Francisco Cooking School.
